Continuous monitoring, working on improvements and learning from the past, is how we currently work at Pieter Pot.
As Data Scientist Demand Forecasting, you will work on predicting the reorders and first orders. These forecast models help us to determine the required capacities in order to ensure both product and delivery availability.
At the moment, we are comparing two different models, which are based on historical data from Google BigQuery combined with assumptions made by our Growth teams. With the fast growth rate of our orders and customers, the accuracy of our forecast models is getting more and more important. Since there are still a lot of improvements to be made, we are currently looking for fulltime ‘Pieters’ who can contribute to building a solid foundation for our demand forecasts. Are you eager to share and implement your ideas to improve our forecast models for various countries with different seasonalities, customer behaviour, marketing campaigns and weather conditions? Then you are the person we are looking for!
As Data Scientist, you will be part of our S&OP team, balancing the needs of both Growth as well as Operations. Our team is currently made up of 2 working students focussed on demand forecasting and a fulltime Supply Chain Analyst. You will work together with the Growth, Data & Tech teams, as well as with a lot of other people which will be added to our Pieter family!
It will be your responsibility to expand current models, challenge the existing models with new models, and increase the user experience by automating the processes involved. This is the case for both the current scope of Pieter Pot, as well as new products and new countries which will be added. By also sharing your insights with other teams and external stakeholders, you will help Pieter Pot with a scalable growth towards a package-free future!
