At Pieter Pot we are looking for a Full Stack Engineer to join the shop team. We are responsible for the app and website and ensure that our customers can do their waste-free groceries as smooth as possible. Are you ready to join us and make impact?

Where are we right now?

Together with a small team, we are currently building the first-ever Pieter Pot app. Since the app will be our only sales channel, it has to provide the perfect waste-free shopping experience for our customers. In parallel, we are moving away from Shopify and building an internal platform for customer service and operations to manage products, orders and customers. Excited to help out?

This is our stack

  • ReactNative
  • Liquid (Shopify's own theming language)
  • Node.js on AWS
  • No Database (Shopify tracks it all for now)

This is what you'll do

  • Building and improving our apps and the website.

  • Creating the best waste-free shopping experience.

  • Developing end-to-end features for our customers in the app, working on our CI/CD pipeline or monitoring, and building internal tools to help our operation run more smoothly! You will have a lot of agency of your day-to-day tasks.

  • Work in a scrumteam with a product owner, UI/UX designer and several engineers.

What do you take in your jar?

  • You rather get things done than get things perfect.

  • You aspire to "make it work, make it right, make it fast" in that order.

  • You possess a healthy amount of pragmatism and optimism.

  • You have plenty of experience in Javascript / TypeScript.

  • You are familiar with back-end and front-end frameworks such as Node.js and React (Native).

  • You have developed and set up an application more than once, from setting up the codebase to deploying it on AWS, Google Cloud or another system.

  • Coding is your hobby and just happened to become your job;

  • You hate throwing packaging material in the garbage ;-)
